OOC: drabble
Feb. 9th, 2006 11:21 pm"...you want to make a what, baobei?" Regan Tam blinks down at her three-year-old daughter, completely bewildered.
"Ibercue," insists River, close to tears. She waves a frustrated chubby hand at a half-finished tinkertoy structure.
"River, I don't unders--"
"She means a hypercube, Ma ma." Simon's leaning over the back of the couch, grinning. "You can't make a hypercube in three-dimensional space, dummy."
River looks up at her brother blankly, her mouth forming a small pout. "...Why?"
"Because -- here, look." He comes around the couch and plops down onto the floor, picking up a handful of sticks and connectors, and shortly is deep in an explanation of two-, three- and four-dimensional geometry. His small sister watches intently, nodding, occasionally interrupting.
Regan watches them for a moment longer, then quietly backs out of the room.
